Review

Many a people I know who have seen the two previous Bond films, the reboot collection of Casino Royale (2006) and Quantum of Solace (2008), tend to find themselves loving the first, and to varying degrees disliking the latter, and so would proceed to bite their nails in a cocktail of optimism and high caution as they await watching this film. I must admit though, I had little concern - I absolutely LOVED the first Bond reboot, and saw the second as more of an extension to the first, so overall I appreciate the experience, though I do understand where people are coming from.

Football: Arsenal v Shalke match review

Hello fellow Gooners,

Score: Arsenal 0-2 Schalke (Champions League group stage)
Date: 24 October, 2012
Stadium: Emirates

Seeing today's display, it made me want to rage-type. But I decided against the capital letter writing. However, it didn't stop the feeling of disdain towards my beloved favourite football team; the mighty Arsenal, who did not play so mightily today, for the second game in a row (after losing to Norwich) played a bad game.

We had a starting line up consisting of Mannone, Jenkinson, Vermaelen, Mertesacker, Santos, Coquelin, Arteta, Ramsey, Cazorla, Podolski, and Gervinho as the point man. I decided like a Mertesacker leg out to tackle my review of the game by discussing individual performances head on.

[ITNT:] Ron Perlman returns as "Hellboy: Make-A-Wish"

Hello readers!

Sorry to mislead if it has, but this isn't a sequel of the Hellboy franchise.

Perhaps the most awesome news I have read this week, celebrity Ron Perlman, with his busy schedule in mind, decided to fulfish the wish of a boy who wanted to meet Ron... by wearing the whole make-up outfit and wearing Hellboy look. The company that perform the make up also turned the boy in Hellboy also!

Check out the full story and more photos at: SuperheroHype!

Just wonderful and awesome to read, I had to share it.

Hello, web-heads!

The latest Spider-Man film is out, and it's a reboot of the previous 3, which were directed by Sam Raimi. Let's see how The Amazing Spider-Man compares to the Raimi trilogy, and how the new look Spidey works in general.

Here's some film details before we get into my nitty, gritty opinions.

Review

5 years since the last Spider-Man film, Spider-Man 3, we see the Marc Webb reboot of the greatly enjoyed Sam Raimi Spider-Man trilogy. So the big question: how does it differ from still such a reasonably fresh franchise (the first Spider-Man only releasing in 2002 (just 10 years ago) and remains at the forefront of thoughts of the majority. It will however be easier to appreciate The Amazing Spider-Man considering how poorly received Spider-Man 3 was.

New Trailer: "Dredd" (2012)

Hello film fan!

Judge Dredd of 2000 AD comics is getting a second opportunity in film, so here's the trailer, and link!

My thoughts...

Most of us would only have heard about Dredd through the Sylvester Stallone Judge Dredd film of the 90s, and I don't know of anyone who enjoys it today. This version appears to be vastly different however, and it's a welcome attempt as I like the idea of the comics, of the law being handled on the spot by one person - one judge, one jury, and one executioner.

Dredd comes off visually and in style as something which can't be compared. I think Karl Urban is a fantastic modern day actor, and I greatly appreciate Lena Hedley, so I'm optimistic that it's a class above the Stallone version - which I presume many who are crying out with a lack of welcoming appreciation are choosing to do so for this reason. People, please know: Dredd isn't a reboot of the previous Judge Dredd film, but rather a second attempt at a comic-to-film of 2000 AD.

Review
Tim Burton, a great in the halls of fantastically artistic directors, who has made films I so much have loved, such as Beetlejuice (1988), Batman (1989), Sleepy Hollow (1999), Planet of the Apes (2001), Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005) and more, has come back. And this time he brings back frequent acting choice of his films, Johnny Depp (8 films in total, now), appreciated by many (including myself) for his quality talents lent to many a film that I don't think I need to name.

TIP: Getting Back a Deleted Post

Hello blogging reader!

Found yourself thinking: "NOOOO!!! I accidentally deleted a Blogger post! How do I get it back?!?!"

The interesting thing about Blogger is that there is no 'bin' (not that I have noticed anyway) so you can't just undo a delete. Well, as a man of experience from a couple of days ago (having accidentally deleted a post - I blame the Android Blogger app for that!), I'm here to share with you how I got it back. Hope it helps.

R.I.P. Whitney Houston

9 August, 1963 – 11 February, 2012
Hello Reader,

It may be a couple of days late, but it's still fair to publicly mourn a respected figure. Whitney Houston; the first lady that made me respect singers (I'm a guy - at her peak, all I had cared for was loud, catchy bands or rap music).

I was about 7 when The Bodyguard (starring Houston and Kevin Costner) released. My mother went INSANE for it, bought the film's soundtrack and kept that CD on repeat, the songs would slowly sink in. Anyway, I had to respect that talent. The way she would effortlessly, with strong depth, glide over a beat and mingle pop with soul and R&B - incredible vocal range to add. Immense music. Though I can't say I know what happened to her since the 90's, or despite how easily people down her for her publicly known misdeeds, I will always respect her for the quality I felt she brought to the music industry, and cannot deny her for what she did to those who came after her (Destiny's Child, Jessie J etc) with many attributing her as an incredible influence.

I pray the best for her family, and the utmost strength.
